Fauquier Health Publishes 2025 Community Benefit Report

June 15, 2026

Fauquier Health has published its community benefit report for the 2025 calendar year. This annual report outlines the various ways the hospital is working to support the health and economic vitality of Fauquier County and the region as part of its mission of making communities healthier®.

“Fauquier Health’s mission of making communities healthier is at the heart of everything we do. It is deeply embedded in how we provide high-quality care for patients, expand and enhance our services, and make meaningful investments to promote the health and economic growth of our region,” said Rebecca Segal, FACHE, CEO of Fauquier Health.

Fauquier Health’s 2025 community benefit report highlights its continued efforts to meet the growing healthcare needs of its community through welcoming new providers, adding and expanding service lines and continually investing in its facilities and healthcare technology. For example, in 2025, Fauquier Health added providers in areas such as gastroenterology, nephrology, family medicine, infectious disease and obstetrics/gynecology; and made more than $2.3 million in capital improvements.

Last year, the organization paid more than $14 million in local and state taxes, while also continuing its support of local activities and organizations committed to serving the region by providing more than $1.5 million dollars in contributions to local organizations such as the Fauquier Free Clinic, Fauquier County Schools, Fauquier FISH, Fauquier Food Bank, the Fauquier County NAACP, Learning Starts Early, Salvation Army, Veterans Service organizations, Mental Health Association of Fauquier County and more.

Fauquier Health made a donation of nearly $23.8 million in health services to those in need, demonstrating its continuous commitment to ensuring everyone has access to care, regardless of their ability to pay. The total community impact of Fauquier Health in 2025 was more than $40 million.

Fauquier Health is also devoted to creating environments where providers want to practice and employees want to work. In 2025, the hospital distributed more than $61 million in salaries, wages, and benefits for its approximately 650 employees, while contributing to professional development and tuition assistance so all its employees can have the opportunity to learn, grow and improve the care they provide their patients.

“For us, healthcare is personal,” said Segal. “We have the honor and privilege of caring for friends, neighbors and family members. We strive every day to offer the best possible care – with the highest quality and the greatest compassion. We are proud to be part of this community and are committed to serving everyone in it.”
