ER Wait Time

Current Wait Time

52 minutes

Our ER wait time is meant to help estimate wait time from patient registration to triage. The ER wait time is not a representation of how long  a patient will wait to be seen by a medical healthcare professional.

So, what does our ER wait time really mean?

The ER wait time shown on the website is calculated using a 4 hour rolling average which is updated every 15 minutes. Each time used to calculate the average is defined as the time of patient registration at the ER until the time a patient is triaged. After triage, patients can expect to be greeted by a qualified medical professional in the priority order based on their presenting complaint and reason for visit.

A qualified medical professional is defined as a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP). The national average wait time, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CD), is 1 hour.
