Fauquier Health Names DAISY Award Honoree

January 20, 2026

Madison Graves, LPN was named Fauquier Health’s DAISY Award Honoree for the third quarter of 2025. The DAISY Award celebrates and recognizes nurses by collecting nominations from patients and their families.

Madison, who has been a nurse at Fauquier Health since 2024, is currently studying to be an RN and has plans to obtain her BSN. “My favorite thing about being a nurse is forming a relationship with patients and being the safe space in their toughest times while cheering them on as they recover,” said Graves. “I fell in love with nursing after my first clinical and knew I had found my calling and where I was meant to be.”

A patient’s mother sent in the nomination, writing “Madison was amazing with my daughter – super attentive to her needs, making sure she was comfortable and that she understood everything that was happening. I was really impressed with how she helped my daughter. Madison is a gem! I would give her five stars for compassion, care, understanding and hard work.”

Tony Maxwell, APRN, FNP-BC, Chief Nursing Officer at Fauquier Health praised Madison. “While she is still early in her nursing career, Madison already shows the most important attributes a nurse can have: compassion and empathy. Madison is a wonderful example of how our nurses take exceptional care of our patients. At Fauquier Health, our nurses are the best of the best, so for her to achieve this recognition is an impressive accomplishment!”

Madison appreciates being part of Fauquier Health. “We aren’t just co-workers; we are friends and family. Everyone is always willing to lend a hand; my leadership is so supportive and willing to work with me – it means the world that they care so much!
