Brandi Burch worked her way through nursing school with jobs in a doctor’s office and then in a hospital. She eventually became and ED tech  and knew she had found her calling “I really enjoyed how it was fast-paced, hands on,” she explains. “Every day was always something different. This was where I belonged.”

Brandi went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and become a Certified Emergency Nurse. She has spent more than 20 years at Fauquier Health, most of that in the Emergency Department, the last five as the Director of Emergency Services. “We are an experienced team, the staff is a family, and we take care of our patients as if they were family, too.”

For patients, finding themselves in the Emergency Department can be stressful – they are sick, in pain and just want to feel better. “At Fauquier Health, you aren’t just a number; we take the time to take care of you,” Brandi says. “It all goes back to being a collaborative team – we have the best providers, compassionate nurses, great techs…and our community is so fortunate to have such a fantastic, highly skilled EMS system.”
