Sports Medicine
At Fauquier Health, we provide care for all levels of competitive athletes and at all ages. We understand that keeping active in a sport can become difficult after an injury or overuse has occurred. That is where our team comes in. Our multi-disciplinary team of sports medicine physicians, family medicine specialists and physical therapists work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan tailored to each patient's needs. Often times, sports related injuries are treatable through non-surgical means, or minimally-invasive procedures.
In addition to diagnosing and treating all types of athletic injuries, our orthopedic surgeons specialize in reconstructive surgery. Our primary goal is to help you so you can get back to doing the sport, or activity, you love.
Annual Physicials & Prevention
In addition to eating a healthy diet and regular excercise, it is important for both seasoned and young athletes to obtain yearly physicals. The only good injury is one that never happens, the best time to contact us is when you’re active and uninjured. Our team of specialists—using advanced tools such as motion analysis and functional capacity analysis—can help pinpoint where you’re vulnerable, and develop a plan to help you minimize your risks while staying active.
Talk to your primary care provider to see when you should schedule your next physical.
