Chad Melton

President & Chief Executive Officer

Chad Melton joined Fauquier Health in February 2017 and is responsible for day to day operations for the health system’s 97 bed acute care facility, 113 bed nursing home, and 68 bed assisting living facility.  He received a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from Southwest Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas and a master’s degree in health care administration from Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas in 2005. 

He is a past Board member of the Fauquier Chamber of Commerce, and executive sponsor for the American Heart Association, CycleNation campaign.  Prior to joining the health system, he was the CEO for Wythe County Community Hospital in Wytheville, Virginia and has served as the CEO for Hackensack UMC at Pascack Valley, Texas.  He has also served as Director of Operations and Division Director of Operations for LHP Hospital Group, Inc., in Plano, Texas.  Other roles include, Associate Administrator at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton Texas and Associate Administrator at Northwest Medical Center in Oro Valley, Oro Valley, Arizona. 

Top achievements over the past 15 years include, LifePoint Chief Executive Officer of the Year in 2016; Wythe County Community Hospital, Hospital of The Year in 2016; 201 Magazines, 19 People to Watch in Healthcare in 2014;  NJBIA Good Neighbor Hospital Award in 2014; NJBIZ Hospital of the Year Finalist in 2014; NJBIZ 40 under 40 Award Winner in 2013.

He and his wife, Julie, live in Warrenton and have a son, Walker. His interests include bicycle racing, reading and spending time with his family.

Lionel Phillips

Lionel Phillips

Chief Financial Officer

Lionel Phillips joined Fauquier Health in 1981 and is in charge of Health System finances.  He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts in 1978, and a master’s degree in business administration from Marymount College, Arlington, Virginia in 1985. 

He is active in the Virginia Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.  Prior to joining the hospital, he served as controller of a publicly held research and development company and as assistant controller of a restaurant chain. 

He and his wife, Anne, live in Warrenton and have three children.  His interests include skiing, sailing, cycling and performance driving. 

Will Aycock

Will Aycock

Assistant Administrator

Will Aycock joined Fauquier Health in 2018 and is responsible for the administrative oversight of Medical Imaging, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Cardiopulmonary, Wound Healing Center, Sleep Center, Cancer Services, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Respiratory Therapy, Food and Nutritional Services,  Plant Operations, Clinical Engineering, Security, Environment of Care, and Emergency Management.

He received his bachelor’s degree in business/economics from Randolph-Macon College in 2008 and a master’s degree in health administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia in 2018. 

He is on the board of the Northern Virginia Hospital Alliance and is active in ACP, a national nonprofit organization focused on helping returning veterans and active duty spouses find their next careers through one-on-one mentoring. 

Prior to joining the hospital, he was an administrative resident at Wilson Medical Center, in Wilson, North Carolina. He served as a Healthcare Recruiter at HCA Capital Division in Richmond, Virginia where he supported 18 hospital campuses across Virginia, New Hampshire, Kentucky, and Indiana.

He and his wife, Megan, live in Warrenton with their daughter, Libbie, and two yellow labs.  His interests include going to the gym, cycling, reading, water sports, and traveling.
