“Hospital food” is also out-of-the-ordinary at Fauquier Health; The Bistro on the Hill provides food options for patients and their guests. Earning a reputation of its own in Warrenton, Virginia, the Bistro serves everything from brick-oven pizza to gourmet pasta, from a fresh soup and salad bar to shrimp stir-fry. Bakers keep the dessert case filled with fresh cakes and pies, cookies and tarts. Community groups frequently congregate at The Bistro, and catering for off-site events is available.
Fauquier Hospital was among the first five in the nation – and the only one in Virginia – to claim the patient-centered care designation.
What does this mean? Fauquier Hospital has been recognized nationwide for doing the most advanced work in patient-centered care. The hospital was judged on more than 40 specific criteria, relating to quality of care and the ways in which that care is delivered.
Becoming a Planetree-designated site was, for Fauquier Hospital, not an end, but a beginning. The hospital’s administration and staff continue to strive for patient-centered innovation.
Planetree is all about people caring for people. Fauquier Hospital, provides friendly, nurturing, compassionate and personalized care. We look at every hospital experience from the perspective of the patient so that we can provide the best holistic care possible.
