Warrenton, VA (February 6, 2020) – Fauquier Health is now accepting applications for the upcoming Summer Medical Camp. Applications are accepted now through February 21, 2020 (6:00pm EST). Summer Medical Camp is one of the community’s most popular student programs. Last year, Medical Camp was only offered as a Level II camp, in which those eligible to partake were graduates from the 2018 Level I camp. During the camp, there were a variety of modules scheduled for completion, such as: advanced suturing, sports medicine, wound care, back boarding/collaring, forensics and injections/phlebotomy.
This year, Medical Camp will be offered as a Level I camp and will span across three weeks in June. Students can choose to participate in June 11 through 12, June 16 through 17 or June 22 through 23. Approximately 72 students will be chosen, with 24 students in attendance for each week. Students will partake in the predetermined modules and have the opportunity to explore their interests in the healthcare profession. Acceptance into the 2020 camp is very competitive, and there are a limited number of spaces available. All applicants who are considered for Medical Camp must range from 8th-12th grade, and must be aged 14-18 years old. Applicants will be contacted once the final decisions have been made, around mid-late March 2020.
