James Laredo, MD, PhD, FACS, is board-certified in both Surgery and Vascular Surgery and is credentialed as both a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).  He earned both his MD degree and PhD in Physiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed his general surgery training in Boston at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School and vascular surgery fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago.

His clinical interests include lower extremity arterial and venous disease, hemodialysis access surgery, chronic wounds and endovascular procedures. Dr. Laredo is also an Associate Professor of Surgery at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Georgetown University Medical School.
