Dr. Kieger graduated with a medical degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL in 2012. The following year, he completed his internship from Northwestern University/McGaw Medical Center in Preliminary General Surgery.

Dr. Kieger received his four-year residency training in Diagnostic Radiology from Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD from July 2013-July 2017. He then went on to complete his fellowship in 2018 from Northwestern University/McGaw Medical Center. His fellowship was in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.

He then went on to complete his fellowship in 2018 from Northwestern University/McGaw Medical Center. His fellowship was in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.

Dr. Kieger joined the Fauquier Health Interventional Radiology team in 2020 and brought over 10 years of clinical experience to with him. According to Dr. Kieger, “My practice focuses on minimally-invasive procedures that result in quick recovery and rarely require a stay in the hospital. I am dedicated to spending ample time with my patients and being available to them every step of the way."

Dr. Kieger received fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology and has expertise in vascular specialties such as dialysis access and catheter placement, central line insertion, Peripheral Vascular Disease and venous insufficiencies Dr. Kieger also specializes in interventional radiology procedures such as angioplasty, hemorrhoid treatment, uterine fibroid treatment, interventional pain management and uterine embolization.

Dr. Kieger spends time mountain biking and hiking with his wife and their dog, Olivia. He also enjoys traveling and cooking with family and friends.

Dr. Keiger has partaken in numerous leadership and project initiatives such as:

  • Innovation and Quality Improvement Project in IVC Filter Removal (Johns Hopkins Hospital and University Applied Physics Laboratory);
  • Member of the Radiology Residency Admissions Committee (Johns Hopkins Hospital);
  • ACR Appropriateness Modules (Johns Hopkins Hospital).

Dr. Keiger has held numbers licensure and society memberships dating from 2010 to present:

  • American Board of Radiology (2016)
  • Maryland Medical License (2014)
  • Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine – Member (2014)
  • Radiological Society of North America – Member (2011)
  • Society of Interventional Radiology – Member (2010)
