Fauquier Hospital’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is a medically prescribed exercise and education program for people who have chronic obstructive or restrictive lung diseases, such as COPD, Chronic Asthma, and Pulmonary Fibrosis, Your physician must refer you to the pulmonary rehab program and most insurance will cover the program cost.
The pulmonary rehab program patient will meet one on one two times per week with a respiratory therapist. The goals of the program are to:
The pulmonary rehab program consists of monitored exercise sessions and skills training. A primary focus of the program is breathing techniques to help the patient learn how to cope with a chronic lung condition.
The Pulmonary Rehabilitation program is located within the Fauquier Hospital’s wellness facility, the Wellness Center, located at 419 Holiday Court, Suite 200. For more information, please call 540-316-2650 from 8am – 6pm Monday through Thursday.
