- Can someone stay with me during my hospital stay? Yes, a person over the age of 18 is welcome to stay with you. There is a bed in every private birthing room for your spouse or your care partner. Though children under the age of 18 may not spend the night, we encourage and welcome sibling visits during daytime hours.
- What should I bring with me to the hospital? You should bring toiletries such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste. There are hair dryers in every bathroom. You are welcome to wear your own nightgown and clothes during your stay if you would like, or we can supply a gown. You will need to bring clothes to wear home.
Every new mother will receive a mother care kit with personal hygiene supplies. You will also receive a newborn kit that includes a package of newborn diapers, baby wipes, pacifier, thermometer, infant hat, blanket and t-shirt. You will want to bring baby clothes for the first picture and for going home. While at the hospital, you may dress your baby in the t-shirt we supply or the clothes you bring.

- What happens after I leave the hospital? Before you leave, you will be given a comprehensive New Parent Handbook to help you through those early days. There is also a very popular New Moms' Group that meets twice monthly right here in the birthing center. Your obstetrician or pediatrician will be your best source of information if you still have concerns.
