Having a baby is an exciting time. Even if this isn’t your first delivery, you still may have questions about the Virginia birthing and maternity center. Below are a few commonly asked questions. There are five OB-GYN physicians who have privileges on the unit - Dr.Jeffrey Bell, Dr. Elizabeth Garreau, Dr. Sumiya Majeed, Dr.Thomas Myers and Dr. Wesley Hodgson.

What should I bring with me to the hospital?
Every new mother at our birthing and maternity center will receive a mother care kit with personal hygiene supplies. You will also receive a newborn kit that includes a package of newborn diapers, baby wipes, pacifier, thermometer, infant hat, blanket and t-shirt. You will want to bring baby clothes for the first picture and for going home. While at the hospital, you may dress your baby in the t-shirt we supply or the clothes you bring.
