Exercise is one of the best ways to take charge of your health, because it reduces your risk for:

  • Heart disease
  • Stroke
  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Arthritis pain
  • Dementia
  • Many other chronic illnesses

For existing injuries or chronic illnesses, like heart or lung disease, arthritis or other conditions, the correct exercise can vastly improve your qualify of life by bringing your body up to its best functioning level. It can make the difference between you controlling your medical condition or it controlling you.

Exercise Physiologists on Site

As a medical fitness facility, the Wellness Center is more than just a gym. As such, the center has staff members that are qualified exercise physiologists. This means they have degrees and experience to support you in your health journey. The exercise physiologists do assessments and reassessments for members, personal training, teach classes and can help you set goals to achieve your optimal health. Their goal is to meet individuals where they are on their health journey.

Group Classes

For those who enjoy the more social experience, the Wellness Center offers a wide variety of group classes. These classes are taught by experienced exercise physiologists or certified exercise instructors who know how to motivate and inspire. The classes range from mind/body to high intensity type workouts. We offer gentle yoga to cardio challenging group exercise that will meet many different needs.

Phase III

Recent graduates of Fauquier Health based rehabilitation programs are entitled to one month free (per lifetime benefit) at the Wellness Center. Included in this benefit is an orientation by one of the exercise physiologists, and unlimited visits or group exercise programs.

Fit First

Going in for a joint replacement or repair? Try out Fit First program! This program is designed by physical therapists and exercise physiologists to prepare you for surgery. This program includes a gym membership and two personal training sessions with an exercise physiologist to check on your progression and keep you accountable. Our goal is to increase your mobility and decrease your pain.

Personal Training

Personal training is a one on one experience with one of our exercise physiologists. A personalized exercise prescription will be created just for you and is designed to be unique to your fitness level and goals. Personal training will not only keep you motivated and accountable, but will help keep your fitness routines dynamic, fresh and fun.

Move It Program

Move It is a program specifically designed for those who are following a clinically controlled diet and are seeking to lose weight. This program includes personal training with one of our exercise physiologists to create an individualized plan that will keep you accountable, motivated and help you meet your goals.

Special Motivational Programs

The Wellness Center offers special programs throughout the year – like the Resolution Solution program, or the Maintain, Don’t Gain promotion – that aim to help you step up your exercise game throughout the year. Whether you’d like to lose weight, tone or get strong, the center-wide programs will help you find your personal motivation. ​
