Nutrition Services

Fauquier Health’s Wellness Center promotes healthy living through a variety of nutrition services, including inpatient nutrition counseling, outpatient nutrition counseling and body fat composition tests.

Healthy eating promotes overall health and helps reduce the risk for nutrition-related diseases, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, obesity, respiratory diseases and orthopedic problems. Healthy eating can also have a significantly positive effect on the body’s ability to cope with medical conditions.

The registered dietitians (RDs) in our Nutrition Services department provide nutrition education, inpatient and outpatient nutrition counseling and meal planning services. This often includes working with patients to create nutritious meals that are both satisfying and appropriate for a specific medical condition.
