Visting Restrictions in Effect at Fauquier Hospital
March 11, 2016
Given an increased number of patients being seen at Fauquier Hospital for potential flu-like illnesses, the hospital will be instituting a temporary limit on visitors to the hospital.
For at least the next week, those under 18 years old may not visit patients in the hospital. Anyone who has two or more of the following symptoms will be asked to use hand sanitizer and put on a mask (available at all entrances): dry cough, nasal congestion, chills, muscle pain, headache.
The restrictions will be in effect beginning at 7 a.m., on Saturday, March 12.
Special rules will be observed in the Family Birthing Center: anyone with flu-like symptoms may not be admitted; spouses and significant others of the mother may visit at any time; visitation is limited to two people at a time in the room; except for siblings of the baby, children under 18 years old may not visit the Family Birthing Center.
