Ana Born, MD
Family Medicine

As a family practice physician, Dr. Ana Born is passionate about a variety of family medicine specialties, including pediatrics, women’s health and immigrant health. During her internship and residency program, she participated in a smoking prevention program for elementary school students, was the recipient of the First Year Obstetrics Award, created a medical Spanish curriculum, and taught medical Spanish classes to the staff at Morton Plant Hospital. In addition to strong communication and listening skills, Dr. Born also brings to Fauquier Health a deep compassion and understanding for the needs of every patient and family.

Education and Training
After earning her Doctor of Medicine degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in 2008, Dr. Born completed the University of South Florida/Morton Plant Hospital Internship and Residency Program.

Certifications and Proficiencies
Dr. Born is certified in advanced cardiac life support, neonatal advanced life support, pediatric advanced life support, and advanced life support in obstetrics. She is also fluent in Spanish and conversational in French.

Honors and Awards
Among her many academic honors, Dr. Ana Born received the First Year OB Award from the University of South Florida, was chosen as a program recruiter for the Selections Committee, and was chosen as the resident representative to the Florida Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Born is also a member of the Academy of Family Physicians.

Research
During her residency program, Dr. Born was the primary investigator for the Female Sexuality During Pregnancy research project.

Employment
Dr. Ana Born joined Fauquier Health as a private practice physician with Fauquier Health Family Practice at Bealeton in 2011, right after completing her residency program.

Personal Interests
Dr. Born enjoys running with her hound mix dog, long-distance running (including marathons), photography, cooking, horseback riding, hiking, reading and traveling.
