If there’s one thing Dr. Matthew Rhames enjoys, it’s working with patients in the community hospital setting. Having served as the emergency department director for Tazewell Community Hospital and Raleigh General Hospital, he knows what ER patients need. He also knows which skills are the most important for ER physicians. Board certified in emergency medicine, Dr. Rhames has discovered that the winning combination for an ER physician includes a quick mind, nerves of steel, top-notch clinical skills, and the ability to establish an instant rapport with families while they are under stressful situations.
