Education and Training
After earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1987, Dr. Ramser completed the Medical College of Virginia Internship and Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program.
Honors and Awards
Among his many academic honors, Dr. James Ramser was elected Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with high distinction from his undergraduate science program at the University of Virginia. During his residency program, he also received the Virginia Orthopaedic Society’s Outstanding Resident Award. Dr. Ramser is currently a member of the Fauquier County Medical Society, and a fellow for both the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
Dr. Ramser joined Fauquier Health as a private practice physician with Blue Ridge Orthopaedic & Spine Center in 1992, right after he completed his orthopedic residency program.
Dr. James Ramser is married and is a native of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. He also is the team physician for the Liberty High School athletics program.
