O'Shaughnessy Family Birthing Center

Serving much of Northern Virginia – including Warrenton, Bull Run and Haymarket – the recently designed O’Shaughnessy Family Birthing Center provide you and your baby with the individualized attention you deserve. Fauquier Health is known for its individualized care, even though we’ll help to deliver more than 900 babies this year. To us, every birth is a new celebration.

The O'Shaughnessy Family Birthing Center offers beautiful private birthing rooms where you will labor, deliver, recover and stay after your baby is born. There is no shuffling from place to place. But you don’t have to compromise comfort for the highest quality medical care. We feature the latest medical equipment in a comfortable, homelike setting. There is also a dedicated surgical suite just steps from your room in case there is a need for a different level of care.

The Family Birthing Center supports families during this very special time and understands the importance of bonding right from the start. New mothers and fathers are encouraged to spend as much time as possible with their babies, so the rooms are designed for newborns to remain in the room with the new mothers. There is an additional bed in the room so the baby’s father or a care partner can be nearby. The nursery is primarily for babies who require special care.
