Take a Class
"Your Childbirth Experience" is discussion oriented and interactive, covering much more than just labor. It begins with your feelings during pregnancy and contains a lot of good information about labor, breathing techniques and relaxation. It also includes a tour of the birthing center. "Baby Care Essentials" is designed to help new parents recognize their newborn's normal appearance. It covers diapering, bathing, cord care, circumcision care, feeding methods and infant safety. Also learn about crying and how to comfort your baby. Search for classes and register.

Birthing Spa Room with Jacuzzi tub
Our family birthing center includes a state-of-the-art spa room with Jacuzzi tub to relax the new mom during labor.
Birth Certificate
During your stay our staff will provide you with the necessary forms and information for this process, and we will submit the appropriate forms to the state for your baby’s birth certificate.
Photo Service
After the birth of your baby, we arrange for your baby’s first picture. Bring your baby’s outfit for the picture with you to the hospital. After the shoot, you will receive a proof sheet with four poses of your baby. You are under no obligation to purchase pictures, but they will be available online at The Growing Families Company for one year.

Baby’s Home Care
Our New Parent Handbook will provide helpful tips on caring for yourself and your baby.
Local Newspaper Announcement
If you choose to participate, the announcement of your baby’s birth will be included in information sent to local newspapers.
Beyond Birth Support Group
This group is for new moms and their infants age two days to six months. This informal setting provides time to share your child development experiences with other moms. We provide a certified childbirth instructor to guide the discussion. Participants are asked to call 540-316-DOCS (or ext. 3627) to confirm their attendance.
