Dr. Golub has always had a passion for helping families in need. During his medical training years, he was the volunteer health education instructor for the Perry Family Health Center, where he created and conducted bimonthly health education lectures for the unemployed residents of Northeast Washington, D.C. And for nearly a decade, he was a volunteer for the Holy Trinity Parish Hands On Housing Service Committee in Washington, D.C., where he helped construct housing for needy families. Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Golub understands that families are unique, and he works as a partner with each family to satisfy the full range of medical needs and preferences— which includes everything from neonatal care to geriatric care.
Education and Training
After earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1999, Dr. Golub completed the Georgetown University/Providence Hospital Family Practice Internship and Residency Program.
Certifications and Proficiencies
Dr. Golub is certified in advanced cardiac life support and neonatal resuscitation. He also received additional training in colonoscopy and has a special interest in colon cancer screenings, community lecturing, and medical teaching/instruction.
Honors and Awards
Among his many academic honors, Dr. Golub graduated cum laude from Georgetown University School of Medicine, and magna cum laude from the undergraduate program in accounting at Fairfield University. He also received the Huntley Award for Excellence in Family Medicine at Georgetown University. Prior to medical school, Dr. Golub passed the Certified Public Accountant exam, and was a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society at Fairfield University.
Dr. Golub has been in private practice at Fauquier Health with Piedmont Family Practice since 2002, and is currently the medical staff representative to the Fauquier Health Medical Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Regulatory Committee, and has medical staff privileges at the Fauquier Health Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He also was a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of United Healthcare, and a member of ePocrates Advocate, a software education program. Prior to medical school, Dr. Golub was a staff accountant for Robert Half International and Arthur Andersen and Company.
Dr. Golub is married and has two children. In his spare time, he enjoys cross country running, swimming, golfing and volunteering for the Fauquier Free Clinic.
